POULSO-OPENS COUNTY SCHED-
     ULE WITH PROMISED BATTLE
     EVENING ON JANUARY 8.

     One game a week till the end of the season in the schedule of the Union high school boys basket ball team.  The schedule for the rest of the season is as follows:  January 8, Poulsbo at Bremerton; January 15, Bremerton at Port Orchard; January 22, Bremerton at Winslow; January 29, Bremerton at Silverdale; February 5, Moran at Bremerton; February 13, Bremerton at Poulsbo; February 19, Port Orchard at Bremerton; and February 26, Winslow at Bremerton.

     The first game of the series, with Silverdale on Union’s floor, was won by the Bremerton Quintette, the girls team defeating the Silverdale girls at the game time.

     William “Bill” McGinnis is coaching the oys, and practice is beginning in earnest now after the layoff for the holidays.  Although the boys show the lack of practice usual early(?) in the season, there is some good(?) material available, and Mr. McGinnis is hopeful of turning ut a successful team.
