Keeping up an unbroken season of victories, defeating Silverdale by the score of 30 to 21, Union high school girls once more save the say of glory for their school at Silverdale, last night, because of the fact that the Union Hi boys’ team went down to defeat by the close score of 19 to 20.

Both games were hotly contested, but Union maintained a safe lead over their opponents throughout. The score was  17 to 12 at the end of the first half.

Union line-up: Evelyn Aldrich, jumping center; Dorothy Rudolph, side center; Tina Bailey and Edna Robinson, forwards, and Jennie Kenyon and Rung Ring, guards. Margaret Kenyon and Eileen Beatty substituted.

Union boys played desperately, holding the spectators breathless, as first one team and then the other forged ahead.  Several time the score was tied, and the last basket, which meant a Silverdale victory, was made in the last minute of play.

Union boys played good ball but their opponent played better.

The line-up: Erwin Miller, center; Richard Hull and Phil Hudson, forwards, and Arthur Waaga and Harold Hughes, guards.

About seventy-five students made the trip to Silverdale with the teams.
