UNION HIGH IN
     WINSLOW GAME

WILL MEET STRONG AND UNDEFEATED BAINBRIDGE ISLAND SCHOOL CLUB FRIDAY – PLAN
 EXCURSION

Application for tickets for the Winslow basketball games with Union High teams, Friday evening, are going so rapidly today that announcement was made that in all probability the S. S.  Tourist would be hired for the excursion, leaving Bremerton at 5:30
o’clock p. m.

Union high school’s basketball teams, both boys and girls, are stepping into the greatest contest of their school season, Friday night. That is the date they are to meet Winslow, and on the Winslow floor.

Undefeated, Winslow stands as a cage outfit that means playing of the superior sort to even get a lookin with. For many years the school has occupied the exalted position in the doings of basketball, and this year is not behind. Union showed up in a class that caused no fear of a Winslow clash, up to the hour that Port Orchard East Side High trimmed the local lusties last Friday night.

An effort is under way by Coach McGinnis and other officials of Union High to make the Winslow date and game a real event.  Plans are now forming to carry through an excursion to the Bainbridge Island school in order to permit all Union students to see the thriller and lend was support is possible for a Union victory.   If the plans now being negotiated carry through, a  steamer will be chartered for the trip, leaving Bremerton at 6 o’clock Friday evening.
