SILVERDALE TO MEET UNION |
||
FIRST OF OUTSIDE GAMES WITH OUTSIDE SCHOOL AT UNION GYM, FRIDAY NIGHT.
Union High School boys’ and girls’ basket ball teams will meet Silverdale at the high school gymnasium Friday evening, for the first games of the season with outside schools. Union has six girl players who were on last year’s squad and according to Miss Dorothy Litle, coach, they have possibilities of making a good team. On the other head they are handicapped by lack of practice this year. The probable line-up is as follows: Forwards, Tina Bailey and Dorothy Rudolph, jumping center, Evelyn Aldrich; side center, Iahl Gaal; guards, Margaret Kenyon and Jennie Kenyon. Substitutes who are on the first team squad and may play are: Eileen Beatty, Ruth Ring, Lucille Breaman, Alice Fellows, Dorothy Champlin, Mary Brownhill and Jesale Crowell. The boys line-up is somewhat uncertain as yet, but will probably be as follows; Larry Kelly and Leo Lund, Guards, Irwin Miller, center, and Riley Huson and Chester McElheney, forwards. Substitutes are Raymond Ames and Harry Rudolph forwards, Verbert Hayward, center and Arthur Wanga and Harold Huges, guards.
