story of a one-sided victory, for at no time did Silverdale seem in danger of getting close. From a 5 to 0 at the end of the first half to the finish Union was always safely in the leag. Although there was not the tenseness and uncertainty manifested in the girls game, the Silverdale boys put up a good fight and the game was by no means a walk-away. Both Union teams played well for the first game of the season and showed a fine spirit. It is to be expected that they will improve before the season is over, with practice. Girls lineup was: Centers, Dorothy Champlin and Evelyn Aldrich; side center, Hanna Ishingannl, and guards; Ruth Ring, Margaret Kenyon and Jennie Kenyon. The boys lineup: Philip Hudson, Chester McKlheney, Harry Rudolph, Larry Kelly, Arthur Waaga, Raymond Ames, Erwin Miller and Leo Land. Marqulat, referee |
