East Falls

SEATTLE – (AP) – In front all the way, Ballard of Seattle trounced East of Bremerton, 57-40, with reserves playing most of the final quarter for their opening appearances in the state class AA high school basketball tournament at Hec Edmundson pavilion today.

 

The Seattle team built up a 32-21 lead by half-time and stretched that to 46-28 by the end of the third quarter.

 

Gary Seefried, with 14 points, and Joe Hazard, with 13, led the Ballard attack. Jim Tienhaara had 14 for East.

 

In other first-round games this morning, Blanchet beat Ellensburg, 62-48, and Renton defeated Central Valley, 59-39.
