"Lindberg's prep career straddled the careers of Gallagher and Eathorne, who stepped aside in favor of Gallagher after Casey's junior year. He was the floor leader and top scorer for Bremerton's "Killer Bees," a team more noted for hustle and intensity than success.
"When he played for me, he was a very smart player," Eathorne said. "At the end of the game, if it was close, you knew he was going to do the right thing. He had the tendencies of a coach" - Kitsap Sun (1998, Nov. 17).

“First year coach Larry Gallagher and our varsity team have impressed everyone with their hustle and desire. Referred to as the “killer bees,” our team may have lacked height, but they always played aggressively and gave the audience a good show. “Good sportsmanship, team unity and a feeling of school pride were always present with this team,” stated Coach Gallagher. “I feel we have played to our potential in many games, but our lack of height has prevented us from winning more,” commented senior Keith Krell. Seniors Casey Lindberg and Todd Lewis led the team to two important victories over league leaders North Kitsap and Central Kitsap. Casey averaged more than twenty points a game and was chosen for the Olympic League first team” – Gauntlet (1989)
"Bremerton coach Larry Gallagher expounded on his 5-8 senior guard, Casey Lindberg, prior to the season opener: “Last year when I coached against him (as an assistant at South Kitsap), I thought he was pretty good and now that I’m coaching him I think he’s even better. He’s a tremendous athlete. Shooting wise and handling the ball, he’s very, very good. If he was 6-3 or 6-4, he could write his ticket to anywhere" - The Sun (1988, Dec. 16)
