"Anderson quickly got into coaching after his playing days, guiding the Whitworth freshman team to a 25-3 record in his fifth year at the Spokane school. The next year, he was an assistant at Shorecrest High School and then was recruited to West High by school district superintendent Armin Jahr. Anderson coached West from 1966-71" - Mosher, Terry (Kitsap Sun, 2008, Dec. 02).
