A Chicago, Illinois, native. Coach Taylor became the Mountain View Boys Head Basketball Coach just prior to the in 2016 season.
A Simeon Academy alumni, Taylor played varsity basketball all four years and helped the Wolverines to their first state championship in 1984 as the starting point guard.
Also a standout baseball player, Taylor attended Southern University (Baton Rouge, LA), a NCAA Div. I college in the Southwest Athletic Conference, on a baseball athletic scholarship.
Drafted as a catcher, Taylor caught in the Toronto Blue Jays (MLB) organization from 1988 to 1993.
Arriving in the Pacific Northwest in 1994, Taylor currently lives in Bremerton, Wash., and works at a King Co. Juvenile Correctional Facility.
